2x2x2 semi-pro solution
The
solution consists of the following steps:
Step 1: Solve the first layer
Step 2: Orient the last layer (OLL)
Step 3: Permute the first and last
layers (PFLL)
Step 4: Rejoice at the solved cube!
This method is semi-pro, because it orients in two steps, and permutes the two
layers in one step. If you think this is a slow method, I must say you are
wrong! Using this you may become able to the reach the WR times, or even break
the WR, of course with lots and lots of practice!
Step 1:
Solve the first layer
So
we start here, and the result will be this:
In this step we solve one color (white) without carrying about the colors in the sides of the first layer (i.e. the permutation of the corners of the first layer).
Step 2:
Orient the last layer (OLL)
In this
step we solve the bottom face (yellow) without carrying about the colors in the
side of this layer (i.e. the permutation of the corners of the last layer)!
First we
turn the cube upside down, so that the bottom face (yellow) becomes the top!
We
start here, and the result will be this:

Step 3:
Permute the first and last layer (PFLL)
This is the
last and final step:
In this step we permute the first and the last layer (white and yellow) with one
algorithm!
Here it is:
We
start here, and the result will be this:
|
1.
Top side Bottom side |
|
2.
Top side Bottom side |
If we need to permute the last layer we turn the cube upside-down, so we are
back to the starting position (white up and yellow down)! Take care, now the
bottom side is the top and vice versa!

1.: Bottom side Top side

2.: Bottom side Top side

3.: Bottom side Top side

Step 4:
Rejoice at the solved cube!
